Ikhwezi Game Lodge offers 600 ha of unspoilt natural Bushveld situated in the hills of Louw’s Creek, Mpumalanga. Completely isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city, the typical Lowveld vegetation has an abundance of game and bird life.

Upon arrival, you’ll find a wide variety of terrain where Zebra, Kudu, Wildebeest and Giraffe roam freely on the game farm. The mountain is also home to a number of resident leopards and if travelling at night you just might be lucky enough to see one.

The mountain and Bushveld terrain is the perfect balance of a truly African bush experience, and you can explore it in a number of different ways.

Explore the beautiful surrounding in Ikhwezi’s safari vehicle. Most of the game are very accustomed to the site of our game drive vehicle and this allows you to get quite close to the animals. This vehicle can take up to 10 people.

on foot

Let the explorer in you take over as you follow the game paths around the property. Exploring by foot is often the best way to enjoy nature as you will enjoy all the smaller things. The abundance of birdlife becomes apparent as you slowly move through the bush and you will probably run into some of the smaller residents like mongoose, duiker and some very beautiful insects.

Looking to get some exercise is on your weekend away? Pack in your bicycle and tackle the hills of Ikhwezi Game Lodge. With some rather flat sections and some serious hills, there is a track suitable for both beginners and pro’s.
